This small bird presents yellow patterns in the head that extends to the chest, back and flanks heavily scratched. The males performs a nuptial flight "butterfly kind" and cheer us with his powerful singing. This bird is abundant throughout the territory, except in the open plains of Baixo Alentejo, where it is rare. Occurs both within localities, parks and gardens, as in agricultural areas, forests, coastal areas and meadows.
