Esta limícola possui as patas de cor verde azeitona, parecendo cinzentas à distância, as partes inferiores da plumagem são brancas que contrastam com as partes superiores acinzentadas. O bico é recurvado para cima. É uma ave geralmente solitária podendo, no entanto, formar bandos até 20 indivíduos. Associa-se frequentemente a outras espécies de limícolas.
This wader has the feet of an olives green color, seeming gray from a distance, the inferior parts of the plumage are white, which contrast with the superior parts, that are greyish. The beak is curved upwards. It is generally a solitary bird being able, however, to form flocks till 20 individuals. It is often associated with other species of waders.
