
Unlike other titmice, this form small flocks that fly from tree to tree in restless movements. This species is unmistakable by its pudgy aspect that resembles to a small ball with long tail and short beak. It has clear chest and belly and dark back with a clear list from the beak till the nape. This titmice is locally abundant being more common inside northern Portugal. It is present throughout the year attending mixed forests.
