It is the smallest of the Grebes . It is easily identifiable for being small, with dark plumage, short-billed and round as a ball. We can find him in slow and calm waters, preferring flooded areas such as lakes with little vegetation and sheltered zones from the coast. Dives constantly in search of mollusks and crustaceans that are the basis of its diet.
