Toutinegra-de-bigodes / Subalpine Warbler / Sylvia cantillans

Muito fácil de identificar, o macho tem o peito e ventre cor-de-laranja, cabeça azul-acinzentada, um característico bigode branco e um anel orbital vermelho. A fêmea tons mais pálidos. Esta Toutinegra-de-bigodes (Sylvia cantillans) é bastante comum no interior, particularmente no Norte e Centro do território português sendo muito comum em certas zonas de Trás-os-Montes. É uma espécie estival que chega bastante cedo ao nosso território podendo ser observada entre meados de Março e Outubro.

Very easy to identify, the male has the chest and belly oranje, the head is blue grayish, a characteristic white mustache and a red orbital ring. The female presents more pale tones. This Subalpine Warbler (Sylvia cantillans) is quite common in the interior, particularly in the north and center of the portuguese territory, being  very common in certain areas of Trás-os-Montes. It is a summer species, that arrives very early at our territory being able to be observed  between mid-March and October.
