Em Outubro mais uma vez, tivemos o prazer da visita de Peter Rock pelas nossas praias de Matosinhos e claro no porto de pesca, onde este ano constatou o menor número de gaivotas em relação ao ano transacto, provavelmente por ter sido proibida a pesca da sardinha. Na foto podemos ver Peter com o amigo de longa data, Malcolm M. que lhe faz companhia sempre que visita o Norte de Portugal e claro eu próprio.
In October we once again had the pleasure of the visit by Peter Rock of our shores in Matosinhos and of course the fishing port, which this year we found the lowest number of gulls over the previous year, probably of the prohibited for the sardine fishing. In the photo we see Peter with a longtime friend, Malcolm M. which makes him company whenever he visits the North of Portugal and of course myself.
Em Novembro Paul K.Veron também esteve por Matosinhos, mas nos dois dias que cá esteve, o tempo não foi muito favorável à observação de aves e leitura de anilhas, no 1º dias ainda visitamos algumas praias de Matosinhos e Vila do Conde, mas no 2º tivemos que nos recolher no café da praia devido ao mau tempo. Talvez para o ano tenha mais sorte em Matosinhos.
Para o ano cá os esperamos novamente!
In November Paul K.Veron was also in Matosinhos, but in the two days that he was here, the weather was not very favorable to birdwatching and reading washers, on the 1st day even visited some beaches in Matosinhos and Vila do Conde, but in the 2nd we had to gather in the beach cafe due to bad weather. Maybe next year we will have better luck in Matosinhos.
