Gaivota-alegre / Laughing Gull / Larus atricilla

Com dimensões entre o guincho e o famego, esta gaivota tem partes superiores cinzentas, bico e patas escuras. Típica das costas atlânticas da América do Norte, Antilhas, Sul da Califórnia e norte da América do Sul, é porém muito rara na Europa ocorrendo em Portugal excepcionalmente.

With dimensions between the Black-headed Gull and the Common Gull, this gull has gray upper parts, dark beak and feet. Typical of the Atlantic coasts of North America, West Indies, South of California and northern South America, is however very rare in Europe occurring in Portugal exceptionally.
