Perna-vermelha e Guinchos / Common Redshank and Black-headed Gull



In Portugal is a wintering bird found in estuaries, salt marshes, coastal lagoons and flooded land. Feeds off mainly of small crustaceous and molluscs but also insects, fish and tadpoles. It is a medium sized wader with long legs of bright red color. The beak is right, red at the base and dark at the end.
